DESIGN THINKING at school
Design Thinking is a learning approach in which students learn by going through an iterative process to create design solutions. Through several steps, such as research on a problem, collaborative ideation, prototype creation and testing, students learn a creative way to solve problems. Students boost their creativity, self-reflection, and collaboration skills. And educators learn how to coach, facilitate, and participate in this creative process.
MAKER EDUCATION at school
Maker Education focuses on the production of physical or digital artefacts that put someone’s ideas into practice. It enables students to externalize their thoughts, while learning making-skills for the 21st century; such as working with microcomputers, motors, LED lights. Students boost their knowledge on technology and making skills. And educators learn how to instruct and guide these making processes.
